POST RIDE UPDATE

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to all of the participants that rode in the 4th annual Diamondback 100 Bike Ride and for making this year’s ride an "Epic" and safe ride.  All riders were courteous of other riders and rode a bit more cautiously due to the extremely high temperatures of Southwest Oklahoma.

The temperature at start time was near 80 degrees and virtually no wind.  However; just a mere 4 hrs later,  the temperature had climbed to a blistering 107 degrees with 15 mph winds out of the west.

All our rest stops were well stocked with awnings, plenty of supplies and dedicated volunteers to assist all the riders. Our SAG teams were taxed with multiple requests to transport riders forward to the Finish Line due to the blazing heat.  We estimate that over 98% of the riders that started also rode through the Finish Line.

I would also like to thank our sponsors and all the volunteers who manned the registration desks, community center set-up/cleaning and SAG team members.

A special thank you also goes out to all of our rest stop members for stepping up under adverse conditions and assisting all the participants with their needs.

Thanks again and we hope to see everyone again next year.
